Thorplands is a residential district in Northampton, accessible via the A43 from the M40 or the A508 from central Northampton. The M1 Junction 15 sits about 15 minutes east via the A45. The nearby Sywell Aerodrome adds character to this part of Northamptonshire, where Cosworth once built championship-winning Formula One engines.
