Thamesmead is a 1960s planned town in southeast London, built on former Thames marshland across Greenwich and Bexley boroughs. Access via the A2016 Eastern Way from the A2, or the A206 from Woolwich. Abbey Wood station nearby provides Crossrail links to central London. The town features distinctive Brutalist towers and an intricate network of canals designed to create a "town on water."
