Tarnbrook is a remote Lancashire hamlet in the Forest of Bowland, reached via narrow lanes from the A6 through Quernmore or across the challenging Trough of Bowland pass. This isolated spot sits along the River Tarnbrook amid rolling fells and moorland. The hamlet takes its name from the crystal-clear river that flows over rocky beds lined with ancient oaks.
