Tankerness is a small farming settlement on Mainland Orkney, nine kilometres from Kirkwall via the A964. Most visitors arrive through Kirkwall Airport, about 15 minutes away, whilst locals make regular trips to town for shopping and services. The area has over 20 EV charging points nearby, mainly in Kirkwall. The settlement sits amid typical Orcadian farmland with traditional stone buildings designed to withstand the islands' persistent winds. Tankerness offers views toward the Ring of Brodgar stone circle just a few kilometres west.
