Tangwick perches on Mainland Shetland's northwest coast, reached via the A970 from Sumburgh Airport then the B9078 through Hillswick. The 90-minute drive from the airport passes through classic Shetland scenery of rolling hills and scattered settlements. About one EV charging point serves the area. The village overlooks Tangwick Haa, a 17th-century laird's house turned museum celebrating the islands' maritime heritage.
