Talladale occupies a prime spot on Loch Maree's shores in Wester Ross, surrounded by ancient Caledonian pines and towering sandstone peaks. The A832 provides the main access, winding 15km from Kinlochewe or 17km from Gairloch along the loch's edge. Long-distance visitors approach via the A835 from Inverness, joining the A832 at Garve for a scenic 90km Highland journey. The village sits directly opposite Slioch mountain, whose dramatic profile creates one of Scotland's most photographed loch reflections.
