Swaythling forms part of northern Southampton, a residential area that's grown around the railway line and student housing. The M27 provides the main access via Junction 5, whilst the A33 and A335 connect to the city center and M3. It's particularly convenient for Southampton Airport, just 3km away, and benefits from over 200 EV charging points across the area. The deep railway cutting through the suburb has become an unexpected urban wildlife corridor.
