Stuart is a tiny farming town in eastern Oklahoma where Highway 48 cuts through Hughes County's rolling hills. Most folks get there via Highway 69 from Atoka, then head northeast on 48 through cattle country. It's about 15 miles from Weleetka and sits in that sweet spot between Oklahoma's forests and plains. The post office has been the community hub since 1902.
