Straffan is a small County Kildare village about 30 kilometres west of Dublin, positioned along the River Liffey. The R403 connects directly to the M4 at Junction 7, making it a 40-minute drive from Dublin or accessible from nearby Celbridge, Maynooth, and Clane. The village is best known for the K Club, featuring two championship golf courses including the Palmer Course that hosted the 2006 Ryder Cup, where Europe thrashed the United States 18.5 to 9.5. There are roughly 200 public EV charging points in the area for those exploring County Kildare.
