Strabane lies in the Foyle Valley, 16km from Derry via the A5, which continues south to Belfast. The A38 crosses into Donegal at Lifford, whilst the B165 heads towards Omagh through Sperrin foothills. About a dozen fast EV chargers serve cross-border traffic and local commuters. The restored 18th-century Strabane Canal offers pleasant towpath walks through the town centre.
