Strabane sits where County Tyrone meets Donegal at the confluence of the Mourne and Finn rivers, with its twin town Lifford just across the water. The A5 runs straight through to Derry (22km) and Belfast (126km), while cross-border routes connect to Letterkenny (26km) and Omagh (30km). Gray's Printing Press on Main Street houses the original 18th-century equipment used by John Dunlap's ancestors, who went on to print the first copies of the American Declaration of Independence.
