Straad sits on the Isle of Bute, reached by CalMac ferry from Wemyss Bay (35 minutes), then a short drive on the A844. Popular with Glasgow day-trippers via the A78 and M8, it's 6km from Rothesay with about 6 EV charging points available. The village overlooks the dramatic Kyles of Bute, where fierce tidal currents create some of Scotland's most impressive marine spectacles.
