Stodmarsh is a small Kent village about 10km northeast of Canterbury, positioned in the Stour Valley amongst ancient marshlands. Access is via the A257 from Canterbury, with local roads connecting to Littlebourne and Ickham. The village sits within easy reach of the Kent Downs and is famous for its National Nature Reserve, which protects some of southeast England's largest freshwater reedbeds where rare bitterns and marsh harriers nest.
