Stockwell is a small Exe Valley village between Silverton and Bradninch, reached via the A396 from Exeter. Most traffic uses local routes to Silverton (2km) for shops or northeast to Bradninch for M5 connections via the A373. The village sits near the site of Roman baths, evidence of its ancient heritage along this historic river crossing.
