Stenness lies on Orkney's Mainland, reached by ferry from Scrabster then the A965 from Stromness. The main island road passes straight through the village, connecting Kirkwall and Stromness, whilst local routes serve nearby settlements. With over 20 EV charging points across Orkney and Stenness positioned among Europe's finest Neolithic sites, the village offers the Ring of Brodgar stone circle with 36 surviving megaliths.
