Stanwix forms part of Carlisle's northern suburbs, sitting where Hadrian's Wall once marked the empire's edge. The A7 runs straight through from the city center, while the M6 and M74 provide the main long-distance connections via Junction 44. With over 50 EV charging points nearby and good links to the A69 for Newcastle traffic, it's well-connected for a border town. The area still contains significant Roman fort remains from its days as a key cavalry posting on the Wall.
