Stalisfield is a small Kent village reached via the A251 between Faversham and Ashford, about 8 miles south of the M2's Junction 6. Surrounded by hop gardens and ancient woodlands typical of this part of the county, it sits centrally among villages like Charing and Throwley Forstal. St Mary's Church houses remarkable 13th-century wall paintings that somehow escaped destruction during the Reformation.
