Stainby is a small Lincolnshire village near Colsterworth, easily reached via the A1 which runs three kilometres west. The surrounding countryside features gentle limestone hills typical of the Vale of Belvoir area, with good connections to Grantham and local villages through quiet country lanes. St Peter's Church houses a remarkably rare 14th-century stone rood screen.
