Southrope lies in rural Hampshire between Basingstoke and Alton, reached via the A339 and local roads through Herriard village. The area's dominated by Lasham Airfield nearby, home to one of Europe's largest gliding clubs, so you'll often spot silent aircraft overhead riding the thermals across the Hampshire Downs.
