South Widcombe is a small Somerset village about 15km southwest of Bath, reached via the A37 and local roads through East Harptree. Bristol drivers use the A37 directly south, while long-distance visitors typically exit the M4 at Junction 18. The settlement sits in gentle Mendip foothills with good connections to nearby villages like Coley and North Widcombe. St. Nicholas church contains a rare 13th-century stone rood screen.
