Sneem

Ireland
Sneem sits where the River Sneem meets Kenmare Bay, perfectly positioned on the Ring of Kerry route. The N70 runs straight through, connecting Kenmare 26km east with Waterville and Cahersiveen to the west. Most visitors arrive via the scenic coastal drive, either doing the full 179km circuit or shorter hops from nearby towns. The village centre has two squares joined by a bridge over the river, with colourful houses on both sides. Local tradition claims these squares represent male and female principles, though today they're simply North and South Square.
