Sion Mills

Sion Mills, a Victorian mill village in County Tyrone, lies 4km south of Strabane on the A5 Belfast-Derry route. The village developed around 19th-century linen mills and retains its original red-brick workers' cottages. It's easily reached from Belfast (130km) via Omagh or from Dublin through Enniskillen. The uniform Victorian housing estate, built by the mill-owning Herdman family, remains one of Ireland's finest examples of planned industrial architecture.
