Shute is a small East Devon village nestled in rolling countryside between Colyton and Seaton, about 3km inland from the coast. Access is typically via the A3052 from Sidmouth or the B3172 from Colyton, with longer journeys using the A35 from Honiton. The village sits in a sheltered valley within the East Devon AONB, benefiting from over 30 nearby EV charging points. Shute Barton, a superb 14th-century manor house with original great hall, stands as one of Devon's finest medieval buildings.
