Shillford lies in East Renfrewshire's countryside between Glasgow and the Ayrshire hills. Reach it via the A736 from Barrhead or use the nearby M77 for faster Glasgow connections. The town serves commuters heading to Glasgow, 25km northeast, whilst longer routes connect to South Ayrshire. The Victorian clocktower in the centre has been keeping perfect time since 1887.
