Shawbost

Scotland
Shawbost lies on Lewis's west coast along the A858, about 25 kilometres from Stornoway through moorland and scattered lochs. The Atlantic setting brings strong winds and quick-changing weather typical of the Outer Hebrides. Local routes connect to nearby crofting townships like Bragar and Arnol, whilst longer journeys link south to Callanish's stone circle. The village houses a school museum in an 1892 building with working Harris Tweed looms.
