Shalfleet sits along the western Isle of Wight's main coastal road, the A3054, between Yarmouth and Freshwater. Reached via Lymington ferry then a short drive southeast, it's a handy base for exploring The Needles and the island's western attractions. The 12th-century Church of St. Michael contains some of the island's finest Norman stonework.
