Sempringham is a small Lincolnshire village just off the A15 between Sleaford and Bourne. Most visitors arrive via the A151 from the A1 or through Sleaford from the north. The village sits in flat fenland countryside and is notable as the birthplace of the Gilbertine order, England's only homegrown monastic movement, founded here in the 12th century.
