Selworthy

England

England

Selworthy perches on Exmoor's wooded slopes, a National Trust village of cream-painted thatched cottages reached via narrow lanes off the A39. The approach from Minehead takes about 15 minutes through typical Exmoor countryside, whilst longer routes from the M5 follow the Atlantic Highway. The village enjoys a sheltered spot at 200 metres elevation, offering superb views across the moor to the Bristol Channel. Its collection of matching cream cob cottages with traditional thatch creates what's arguably Somerset's most photographed village street.
