Selmeston

England

England

Selmeston is a small East Sussex village reached via the A27, which connects it to Brighton, Eastbourne and the wider south coast network. Most visitors arrive from regional destinations, though the A27 also carries longer-distance traffic to the Channel ports. The village sits among the South Downs, about 10km inland from Eastbourne, with minor roads linking nearby settlements like Alciston and Berwick. St. Mary's church houses a remarkable 13th-century wooden knight effigy, one of very few medieval wooden sculptures still found in English parish churches.
