Seghill, a former Northumberland mining village near the Tyne and Wear border, connects via the A190 and sits 15 kilometers from Newcastle. The A1 provides motorway access 10 kilometers west, whilst Newcastle Airport lies 20 kilometers southwest. The Victorian railway viaduct remains the village's most striking landmark.
