Scarcroft is a prosperous village just three kilometres northeast of Leeds city centre, easily reached via the A58 through Shadwell or country lanes from the A61. The elevated position offers pleasant views across the Wharfe Valley, whilst remaining well-connected to the M1 and A1(M) for longer journeys. The village is home to Scarcroft Golf Club, whose championship course has hosted professional tournaments.
