Sauchie lies in Clackmannanshire between the Ochil Hills and River Forth, accessible via the A907 which connects to Alloa and onward routes to Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow. The former mining village serves as a residential base with good transport links, whilst approximately 90 fast EV charging points nearby support electric vehicle travel. The 15th-century Sauchie Tower, a fortified L-shaped house once owned by the Schaw family, remains the village's most distinctive landmark.
