Saintfield lies 20 kilometers south of Belfast in County Down's gentle countryside, positioned between the Mournes and Belfast Lough. The A7 provides the main route north to Belfast in 25 minutes, whilst the A21 connects eastward through Comber and the B2 heads south toward Downpatrick. Over 100 public fast EV chargers serve the wider area. The town retains its 1930s art deco Strand Cinema, still operating as an independent single-screen picture house.
