Saint Anthony

Saint Anthony perches on Cornwall's Lizard Peninsula where the Helford River meets the sea, a tiny village tucked into one of the county's most sheltered estuaries. Reach it via the A3083 from Helston, then wind through Manaccan on increasingly narrow lanes. The old stone quay at Saint Anthony Creek still handles boats, though these days they're more likely pleasure craft than the coal barges that once called here.
