Saddell sits on Kintyre's eastern coast, 14 kilometres north of Campbeltown via the A83. The village offers fine views across to Arran and serves as a convenient stop for visitors exploring the peninsula or heading to the island ferries. The ruins of Scotland's 12th-century Cistercian abbey remain the main draw, housing several exceptional carved stone slabs.
