Ryeland is a South Lanarkshire town reached via the A726 from the M74 at Junction 8, about 15 kilometres southeast. The B743 connects it to nearby Strathaven through pleasant countryside. With over 60 EV charging points in the area and good motorway links, it's well-positioned for both local trips and longer journeys. The town's Victorian clocktower remains a distinctive landmark after more than 150 years.
