Rudyard is a Staffordshire Moorlands village positioned between Leek and the Peak District's southern edge. The A53 provides main access, connecting to Leek five kilometres southeast and continuing toward Buxton, whilst the A520 offers an alternative route from the Potteries. Over 70 public EV charging points serve the area. Rudyard Lake, a Victorian reservoir stretching two miles through the valley, remains the village's defining feature.
