Ruchazie lies in northeast Glasgow, easily reached via the A8 and M8 from the city centre or M80 from the north. Most journeys are local commutes along Cumbernauld Road to nearby districts or central Glasgow, about 6km southwest. The area features distinctive 1960s tower blocks that create a recognisable skyline from the surrounding motorways.
