Roughley forms part of Birmingham's northern suburbs, connected via the A5127 and M6 motorway system. The area serves commuters heading into Birmingham city centre, roughly 15 minutes by car, whilst the M42 orbital provides access to longer routes across the Midlands. The Belfry's championship golf courses, which hosted several Ryder Cups, remain the area's most famous attraction.
