Rostrevor sits on Carlingford Lough's shores beneath the Mourne Mountains, creating a sheltered spot where palm trees grow along the Victorian promenade. Reach it via the A2 coastal road from Newry (15km) or Warrenpoint, with Belfast drivers taking the A1 then A2. The village offers mountain walks straight from the seafront and has excellent EV charging infrastructure. Look out for the fairy tree on the promenade, draped in ribbons and trinkets from wishful visitors.
