Rossinish lies on Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides, reached via the A865 which runs through the Uists. The road connects to both North and South Uist by causeway, with Balivanich 7km south being the nearest substantial town. Ferry connections from the mainland require careful planning, whilst local journeys to places like Gramisdale take just minutes. The settlement sits close to Benbecula Airport, one of the few spots in the Hebrides where you can watch scheduled flights against a backdrop of ancient peat moorland.
