Rosneath occupies a peninsula between Gare Loch and Loch Long, roughly 40km northwest of Glasgow. The A814 from Helensburgh provides the main access, connecting via the A82 from Glasgow, whilst the B833 offers a scenic alternative through the peninsula's interior. Electric vehicle drivers have access to approximately 50 fast charging points in nearby Helensburgh and Garelochhead. The village retains its 17th-century castle bathhouse, one of Scotland's most unusual surviving outbuildings with ornate stonework.
