Rosemount lies in County Westmeath along the N6 motorway, about 90 kilometres west of Dublin on the main Dublin-Galway route. The R446 connects it to Athlone, 15 kilometres south, while the N52 links to Mullingar and Birr. Around 20 fast charging stations serve electric vehicles in the area, mainly along the N6 corridor. The town sits near Esker Hills Golf Course and Kilbeggan Distillery, which has been making whiskey since 1757 and claims to be one of the world's oldest licensed distilleries.
