Roseburn forms part of Edinburgh's western suburbs, sitting between Murrayfield rugby ground and the Union Canal. The A8 Glasgow Road runs straight through, connecting the city centre westward, whilst the A720 bypass handles longer journeys. Most traffic is local - quick hops to town or match days at Murrayfield. The old Union Canal aqueduct still carries narrowboats directly over the busy A8 below.
