Romsey lies in Hampshire's Test Valley, 10 miles northwest of Southampton along the River Test. The M27 provides main access via Junction 3 to the A3057, whilst the A31 connects through the New Forest. Local routes include the A3090 from Winchester and A36 from Salisbury. Southampton Airport sits 8 miles southeast. The Norman abbey, nearly 900 years old, stands as one of England's finest examples of Romanesque architecture.
