Roker is a seaside district on Sunderland's coast where the River Wear meets the North Sea. The A183 provides direct access from Sunderland city centre, whilst the A19 and A1231 connect from Newcastle and regional areas. Over 350 EV charging points serve the wider area. The Victorian pier stretches 800 metres into the sea, complete with a working lighthouse that continues to guide vessels into the Wear.
