Rochfortbridge sits right on the N6 between Dublin and Galway, making it a handy stop for anyone crossing the midlands. You're about 90 kilometres west of Dublin and 110 east of Galway, with the R446 linking you north to Mullingar or south to Tullamore. The town's got over 40 fast EV charging stations, so it's well sorted for modern travel. The Royal Canal runs straight through the place, and that's where the town gets its name from the old stone bridge that carries the main road over the water. Kilbeggan Distillery is nearby if you fancy a visit to one of Ireland's oldest licensed whiskey makers.
