Roadhead lies in remote Cumbria near the Scottish border, reached via the A69 then country lanes from Carlisle (25km). The settlement sits on ancient drove roads through rolling Border country. Approximately 15 EV chargers operate nearby, mainly around Carlisle. The village gets its name from being the historical end-point of a packhorse route.
