Roachburn lies in northern Cumbria near the Scottish border, surrounded by rolling Pennine countryside. The town's claim to fame is its proximity to the exceptionally well-preserved Roman bath house ruins at Castlesteads fort, part of Hadrian's Wall mile 56.
