Ringaskiddy is an industrial port town on Cork Harbour's eastern shore, about 20 kilometers southeast of Cork city. Take the N28 south through Douglas, then the R613 coastal road for a 30-minute drive with grand harbor views. The town centers around major pharmaceutical plants that draw workers from across County Cork. Roads can get busy during shift changes and are quite narrow near the water. The ferry terminal runs services to Swansea, making this small town of a few thousand an unexpected international gateway to Wales.
